Abigail Amendt

Abigail holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics and is currently in the process of obtaining her licensure as a Registered Kinesiologist (BCAK). Originally from a small town in Saskatchewan, she relocated to Golden, BC to pursue post-secondary education before moving to Kelowna in 2021. Abigail brings a diverse background in outdoor recreation, sport, and movement-based work, which informs her practical, client-centred approach to care.
Abigail is passionate about supporting individuals at all stages of their movement and rehabilitation journey. She believes that any movement is better than no movement and focuses on meeting clients where they are at, creating realistic, individualized programs that build confidence, strength, and long-term sustainability. Her clinical interests include injury rehabilitation, return-to-sport and activity, strength training, and functional movement.
Using evidence-informed exercise prescription, movement education, and supportive modalities, Abigail works collaboratively with clients to improve function and support everyday activities. In addition to movement-based rehabilitation and training, she provides orthopaedic bracing, athletic taping, and compression sock fittings as adjuncts to care, helping clients feel supported, comfortable, and confident in their daily movement, work, and recreational pursuits.
Outside of clinical practice, Abigail volunteers as part of the medical team for the Okanagan Sun Football Club and enjoys staying active through mountain biking, cross-country skiing, and backpackingâexperiences that continue to shape her appreciation for movement as a key component of overall health and well-being.

Stephanie Couch BHK, C. Ped (C)
Stephanie moved to Kelowna from her hometown of Pickering, Ontario and has been part of the Orthoquest team since September 2013. She completed her Bachelor of Human Kinetics in Movement Science at the University of Windsor in 2010, her post-degree Diploma in Pedorthics from the University of Western Ontario in 2014, and received her Canadian Certified Pedorthist designation in December 2014.
She comes from a family of âhard to fitâ feet and through personal foot challenges, decided to become a Pedorthist to help others live healthy active lifestyles with less pain.
Outside of work hours, Stephanie enjoys exploring the outdoors with her husband and their two daughters, as well as playing competitive soccer, road/mountain biking, and hiking.

Lise obtained her Kinesiology degree from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She is a Practicing Member under the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists and is a Canadian Certified Pedorthist (specialist in biomechanics and foot orthotics). Sean graduated from the University of Calgary in 1994, and began working in the field of Pedorthics in 1996. Sean competed in Track and Field at a Varsity level for 4 years. An Achilles rupture in 2001 necessitated a switch from weekend warrior to coaching. He worked for several years developing and implementing a sprint program for the Kelowna Track and Field team, working with several university and provincial level athletes. In 2003, he was named a National Team coach for the Special Olympics World Summer Games in Dublin Ireland.
Seanâs Pedorthic experience began in a technical shoe store in Calgary in 1992, fitting shoes for the orthotist who worked on site. After graduating from University he began his pedorthic apprenticeship with Kintec Orthotics attaining his Certified Pedorthic Technician and Certified Pedorthist designations quickly taking on management of the Surrey satellite clinic. He worked in a busy Kelowna clinic for 7 years before going into practice with Lise at Orthoquest. He enjoys all areas of Pedorthics including gait analysis, biomechanical assessment, orthotic fabrication, shoe modification and custom orthopaedic shoes. In 2007, he completed a 120 hour course on Custom bootmaking in central Oregon. Sean is actively pursuing his Master Craftsman designation while working with other members of the Honourable Cordwainerâs Company (A non-profit, educational Trade Guild of bootmakers and shoemakers.)
Sean focuses on clear communication and patient education in order to provide an effective treatment plan for his patients. Asking that one extra question often reveals a solution to a chronic problem that has resisted textbook treatment regimes. Originally from Dallas Texas, Chase brings a fun, charismatic energy to the team. With a strong running and footwear background, Chase understands the need for the perfect fit of a shoe. His life philosophy is âjust keep movingâ and is passionate to help others do the same . He has worked in footwear for the better part of a decade and has helped numerous individuals in their journey for perfect shoes. Russell completed his Bachelor of Science in Biomechanics at the University of Calgary, where he also ran for the Varsity track and field and cross country teams. Between his studies and training in Calgary, Russell worked at a running shoe store for close to a decade where he developed a deep knowledge of shoes. Using the combination of his academics and running background, Russell is passionate about helping people stay active to continue living life to the fullest. Originally from Kamloops, Capri moved to Kelowna to pursue her Bachelor of Human Kinetics degree at UBC Okanagan. After completing her practicum placement here she graduated from her degree specializing in clinical exercise physiology. She enjoys working with her clients to create personalized, effective programs to reach their goals and improve their overall wellbeing. Kenzie Waaga
Originally from Kelowna, Kenzie is a Human Kinetics student at UBC Okanagan, working toward becoming a Kinesiologist.
